Hello!
I'm Dan. I first picked up a camera about 10 years ago and I'm mostly self-taught. I live just outside Glasgow in Scotland, where I grew up.
I love telling people's stories with my camera and finding out what motivates and inspires them, and then putting this across through my photography. If I was to think about photographers I look up to and whose work I'm inspired by, my main sources of inspiration are Annie Leibovitz and Rankin.
In 2020, I won National Historic Ships' Photographer of the Year award for my image of Glasgow's Riverside Museum and Tall Ship. You can read more about this here.
Being part of the queer community myself, I have a real love for helping to tell the story of people from within our community.
But more than anything, it's interesting stories that motivate me, and I'd love to help you tell yours.
